Welcome to the University Church of St Mary the Virgin, Oxford. We are delighted that you have joined us today. This leaflet will guide you through the service. The Revd Canon Dr Judith Maltby, Honorary Chaplain, is presiding and Prof Helen King, Emerita Professor of Classical Studies, The Open University and a Member of the House of Laity in General Synod for Oxford Diocese, is preaching this morning. At this eucharist we are delighted to share in celebrating the 30th anniversary of Judith’s Ordination to the Priesthood. The Mass Setting is Missa de Sancta Maria Magdalena by Healy Willan (1880–1968), which is sung by the University Church Choir under the direction of Robert Howarth. The Organist is James Brown with opening and closing voluntaries played by Dr Jonathan White, Director of Music, Corpus Christi College.
