The Revd Dr Jane Baun is Chaplain and Welfare Officer of Wadham College, Oxford. Jane has taught English in Russia, medieval and Byzantine history at New York University, Eastern Christianity at Oxford, and Church History and Christian Ethics at Ripon College Cuddesdon. She is the author of Tales from Another Byzantium: Celestial Journey and Local Community in the Medieval Greek Apocrypha (Cambridge, 2007), as well as of scholarly articles probing the interface between official and unofficial religious culture in Eastern Orthodoxy, but detective fiction has so far eluded her.
