Clore Old Library
The Old Library was built as the first library of the University of Oxford in 1320, although the building was substantially remodelled in the sixteenth century. Restored by the University Church in 2012, the space now offers modern accessible facilities. Offering a rich and interesting history, the Old Library affords wonderful views of the Radcliffe Camera and the historic heart of the University of Oxford.
The Library is available for lunch or dinner, and has a capacity of 44. We are delighted to be working with a small number of preferred caterers. These accredited suppliers are able to offer a comprehensive range of different packages tailored to your needs. We can also offer a drinks reception for your guests before dinner in the De Brome Chapel, as well as a brief guided tour of this historic building.
If you would like to hire this space, please contact the University Church directly on: events@universitychurch.ox.ac.uk or call 01865 279112. Our team will put you in touch with our caterers directly.
