Having served as the Vicar of Prestwood, then Wantage and then St Mary Portsea, Canon Robert Wright moved to Westminster Abbey in 2010, where he was Sub-Dean, Rector of St Margaret’s, the Archdeacon of Westminster and Chaplain to The Speaker of the House of Commons.  He began painting abstract paintings in 1998 and since retiring and moving to Oxfordshire in 2010, Robert has devoted much of his time to painting,  exploring  contemplative prayer and the  writings of  Thomas Merton. He has led many Quiet Days, Retreats and seminars on art and spirituality, and his work has been shown in numerous solo and shared exhibitions.
