The evening will feature music and poetry around the theme of refugees and birds, as a metaphor for migration. 

Jenkins/Qahramany: Wounded Wings (Collaborative new commission featuring music composed by BBC composer Sarah Jenkins, played under poetry written and read by Afghan refugee poet Merzia Qahramany)

Vaughan Williams: The Lark Ascending (Elodie Chousmer-Howelles, Soloist)

Christopher Tin: The Lost Birds (UK premiere of 2023 Grammy-nominated work for choir and orchestra with The Oxford Gargoyles)

Proceeds from the event will go towards unaccompanied asylum seeking children in Oxford
