We're excited to be taking part in the Oxford Preservation Trust's Oxford Open Doors weekend on Sunday 13 September. Visit us throughout the weekend as we explore the theme of "Everyday Histories: Exploring daily working life through the ages".

Tours
Join us for special tours of both the University Church and Holywell Cemetery on St Cross road, led by our knowledgeable, experienced tour guides.

  • 2.00pm, 3.00pm - Tours of the University Church
  • 2.30pm - Tour of the Holywell Cemetery (St Cross Road)

Equally Oxford Exhibition
Learn more about how the historic connection between the University Church and Littlemore is being maintained today in our "Equally Oxford" Exhibition.

Children's Activity
Explore what daily life might have been like for Mary, our patron Saint in our interactive children's activity. 

Evensong at St Cross Church
Now a historic collections centre for Balliol College, the 9th Century Church of St Cross is a hidden treasure within the parish of the University Church. On Sunday at 5.00pm, we will be holding a special service of Choral Evensong at the Church of St Cross, with a sermon by historian the Reverend Canon Professor William Whyte.
