Victor Braojos, Piano

The reviews of his performances highlight his musicality and gentleness, placing especial emphasis on his performance ease, an own and original sound and an especial sensitivity and poetic spirit. Víctor Braojos studied his Bachelor’s Degree with First Class Honours –awarded with a scholarship by the Anna Riera Foundation– at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Barcelona), working with Jordi Masó and Pierre Reach, before moving to London, where he pursued his Master in Piano Performance at Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Distinction & CRD), working with Martin Roscoe and thanks to an Excellence Scholarship Award given by this institution. Over these years, he has completed his musical formation working with world-renowned performers such as Robert Levin, Dmitri Alexeev, Stephen Hough or Stephen Kovacevich. He has won several prizes and awards in National and International Piano Competitions, among which we could highlight the 1st Prize in the Catalunya Piano Competition (youngest winner ever in the 50 years of history of this competition), the 1st Prize in the Barcelona Piano Competition, the 1st Prize in the Girona Musical Competition or the 2 nd Prize at the prestigious “El Primer Palau Music Competition”.

Furthermore, he is currently one of the scholarship holders of the Keyboard Charitable Trust and the Imogen Cooper Music Trust, receiving regular tuition and advice by the world-acclaimed pianist Imogen Cooper DBE. Along his career he has performed in several venues across Spain, the UK, France or Russia, among which we could remark concerts at emblematic venues such as the Palau de la Música Catalana, Palau Maricel de Sitges, the National Auditorium of Barcelona, the Milton Court Concert Hall or the London Steinway Hall. Over the season 2021- 22 he will make his début at the Ribble Valley International Piano Week and will appear in prestigious venues such as the Granollers Auditorium and the Metropol Theatre in Tarragona. His commitment to combine classical repertoire with contemporary music has led him to world-premiere works by some of the most renowned Spanish composers such as Benet Casablancas, Joan Magrané, Marc Migó or Josep Maria Guix and, concurrently to his soloist activity, he usually collaborates with several chamber music ensembles and orchestras, among which we could highlight his multiple collaborations with the Barcelona Medical College Orchestra, conducted by Alfons Reverté.

In December 2016 he launched his first CD as a piano performer, –which was received with unanimous acclaim by both audience and the critic since it was presented in the Catalan National Radio in the early 2017– and in 2021 he will launch his next CD project, named Shreds of light.
