Food Poverty
6pm Wednesday 5th August
Join us for an hour on Zoom with Jane Benyon, founder of the Oxford Community Emergency Foodbank (CEF). A recent study by Feeding Britain and Northumbria University found that one in four adults looking after children in the UK have struggled to afford food during the pandemic. According to the Independent Food Aid Network, demand for food parcels has nearly tripled since April 2019. Food banks around the country have rallied to respond. Jane will talk to us about food poverty in Oxford and how the CEF has responded to the challenges of the pandemic. To sign up click here.
