Free lunchtime concert

A very special lunchtime concert this week!
The William Jewell College Concert Choir based in Liberty, Missouri, USA and conducted by Anthony J. Maglione is an auditioned, highly-selective ensemble composed of the College’s very best undergraduate choral singers. A nationally-renowned ensemble, the Concert Choir was awarded 2nd Place for The American Prize in Choral Performance, College/University division in both the 2018-2019 and 2015-2016 competitions and has appeared in performance with the Canadian Brass, Joyce DiDonato, the King’s Singers, and the American Spiritual Ensemble. They have performed at the 2015 and 2024 Missouri Music Educators Association In-Service/Workshop Conference, the 2016 Southwestern division conference of the American Choral Directors Association, in the 50th anniversary performance of Robert Ray’s Gospel Mass at the 2019 American Choral Directors National Conference. They have two commercial albums This is their 40th Anniversary England/Scotland Tour as the ensemble has toured triennially to the UK since 1985.
Exact concert programme to be announced although concert selections will include motets and anthems by composers from The United Kingdom and other locations in Europe including works by Byrd, Duruflé, Tallis, and Mendelssohn as well as folksongs and spiritual arrangements form the United States.
